A girls night out...

Some boys crashed our party :-( but it was okay because they were husbands of our friends.

The CrAzY CaRiBbEaN DiSeAsE strikes the cleabsy/priebe Apartment

So when we moved here, we heard about the crime, the beaches, the crazy drivers, the stray dogs, the island cars, and the list goes on.  This is a different world here.  We were warned but we were NEVER warned about anything like this... There is a caribbean diease, it has never been seen in humans but it affects animals. We went to school on a normal day, left at the normal time, everything was normal.  But then when we returned home, something was wrong with the dogs.  We don't know if they got into something on the morning walk or what but it was clear SOMETHING WAS MISSING.....

Since Block weekend was amoung us- A few of us decided to go to Zee Best for some breakfast and girl time.

The Heineken Regatta

The Heineken Regatta

We started the Heineken Regatta with a morning boat ride following the race.  For those of you who don't know what the Heineken Regatta is:  It is a sailboat race sponsored by Heineken.  Every year it is held on St Maarten.  The events are held over a whole week with concerts, shows, parties, the list goes on. We even got Monday off to rest after the weekend of events.

Some pictures of the race! The first picture shows how windy it was that day.  The waves were really throwing the boats around.

After the boat ride we all walked from the dock to a local resturant/bar.

We went to the beach to check out the set up for the concert later that night :-)

Then we all went home, napped, and entered for some more Regatta fun!

We started the night off at Rob and Mikes Apartment. We played some games and had a few drinks.

After that we headed to the Concert on Kim Shaw Beach.

Some how a friend of a friend (haha) pulled some strings and we got into VIP.  So had had free drinks, free stuff, and most importantly free bathrooms (you'd think they'd be free anyway right?!? Nope)
