Our 2:00 am visitor
So last night about 2:00 am Josh wakes me up and mumbles something about helping him quick. I ask him what is going on and he states...
"There is a cockroach and he is creeping me out"
So I get out of bed and ask him where the cockroach is and why he doesn't just kill it. He responded
"He does not know where it is and it is creeping him out! It is huge"
He tells me the story of how he got up to pee and saw the cockroach on the wall but he can't find it now. I told him it was probably in the shower curtain. I start to look through the curtain and there it is. So I tell Josh I found it and I told him to get something to kill it...
And he comes back with a bath towel. I simply ask and what are you going to do with a towel josh??? All he says is "what do you what me to get?" So I said how about a shoe...
Josh says... "where is that at??" Like he has not been living here for 6 monthes. I point at my shoe on the ground and told him to get it. He grabs it and hits the roach off the curtain and on to the floor where he gives it two quick hits. Then asks "will you clean it up?" of course I said "no I want to go back to bed, why can't you clean it up?!?"
And he replies "This one is really creeping me out!!!" So I get two pieces of toliet paper and try my best to pick up the little guy but then I felt creeped out and I could not clean it up either for some reason. Finally I talk Josh into if he picks him up I will clean the guts off the floor... an even compromise in my eyes. So then I go back towards the bed glad to have the situation taken care of... and that is when Josh lays it on me...
"We need to move the curtain"
and my response "what, why" He goes on the explain that if there are more bugs and the curtain is pushed over to the far left then the bugs won't have anywhere to go and the curtain is what caused this whole thing to happen...lol. Silly Josh! I tell him that the bug could just go on the wall around the corner whether the curtain is there or not. After a few minutes of this I give up and move the curtain. Finally, time for bed. I crawl into bed and watch Josh turn off the lights but I do not feel him get into bed. Then a minute later, he comes into the room turns on all the lights and asks
"Where is the duct tape?"
At this point I was not even going to ask- I just told him where to find it. Next thing I know he is wanting me to get up again and tape the lights that hang over our bed?!?! I was like what?!?! Then he explains that he KNOWS the bug came in through the light. I do not want to argue at the point so I take the tape and put two pieces over the light... but he insisted I put at least three pieces of tape on the light....lol!
Then Finally I got to go to bed. Today Josh does remember waking me up to kill the cockroach but he did not remember why there was tape on the light and why the curtain was pushed way over.
