So we have had an interesting last 24 hours. On Sunday morning we woke up to go to church at the school. We woke up to our water heater leaking and a broken shower head and by broken we mean it was laying on the floor of our shower. We go to church which is about one and a half hour but the pastor is hilarious so we find this 1 and 1/2 hours one of the highlights of our week. We come home eat some lunch and Josh gets to studying. Around 5:00 I decide I want to grill, I am making the hamburger into patties and get out the hotdogs, the only thing left is the grill. This is not something I have completely mastered yet... I understood we needed charcoal but I do not know about this whole lighter fluid stuff?!? So I tried to light our grill with paper, sticks, and charcoal... I was unsuccessful :-( this was no surprise to Josh who stood by saying "It won't work without lighter fluid" but I told him to have faith in me... I guess I had alittle too much faith! So the one thing we've learned from living here....ALWAYS HAVE A PLAN B. Our plan B was the george foreman grill which we've not used yet. Come to find that george foreman SXM style means there is no heat adjustment and the handle gets extremely hot so you have to wear oven mittens to even use the thing! Josh found that out the hard way... by grabbing the handle throwing his hand down with a "ouchhhh!". So we finally figured out how to work the george foreman without losing a finger but it can only cook two hamburgers at a time so it took forever! By now this easy hamburger and hotdog dinner became an one hour painfully long dinner. Josh continuing studying until 10:30 and we went to bed. so I have to ask you one question now.....
So this is Island Life?!? Paradise, of course :-)
