The Unknown Beast of St Maarten
There is a beast that lives on our island. From what I've heard it is very large and you know it when you see it. It is black on top and gray on the sides. Most people do not know exactly what it is even though they have seen beasts like it before... there is something different about this one that makes it hard to categorize. I have heard that when it travels from one area of the island to another that it shakes the ground and has even been known to set off car alarms! You can hear it coming from a good one mile away which is good because people can run home to take cover. The beast has never hurt anyone that we know of. It does not eat humans but will protect itself if necessary. There are only two beasts of its kind on the island right now, yet there have been multiple sightings of theses beast in the last few years. Researchers have estimated them to be about 5-7 years old. It is still unknown how long they can live.
Researchers have only named one of the beasts, and it is the one that tends to hang around our road.

Yeah! Silver Bullet! We named our car, too. It is called Old Smokey because whenever we turn it off...it smells like its on fire :) hahah! gotta love those island cars!
